What is LEGO Group?

LEGO Group is an empirically supported (research says it helps!) social skills group for children who have social anxiety,  high functioning Autism (previously called Aspergers) or could just use some tuning up with their social skills.  It's for children between the ages of 6-11.

What do they do?

Children learn to complete a joint project through cooperation and teamwork.  They don't realize it's a "social skills group" because of being motivated by LEGO's.  They must follow a set of rules, which involves them being in different roles (e.g. supplier, builder, architect). They won't always like the role they are in, but they are motivated to still complete the project.

When is it, how much does it cost?

LEGO group commences January 15th.  If you have NJ FamilyCare, it's free.  The cost is otherwise $15 per session.
