Therapy is the cornerstone of treating mental health conditions and is at the heart of what we provide.  Depending on what you are struggling with, the therapeutic approach may differ, but rest assure, we utilize a variety of empirically supported interventions to help you get your life back on track.  A frequently utilized approach, and one in which research supports, is called cognitive behavior therapy (CBT).  This involves modifying dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.  Different versions of CBT have been shown to help with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and personality dysfunction.

We offer couples, family, and individual therapy across the lifespan.

Psychotropic medication can be an essential component or helpful adjunct to treatment.  It has proven to be effective to treat a variety of mental health conditions.  While the goal is always to minimize this intervention, at times, it is necessary for therapy to be optimally effective.  We provide this service for individuals throughout the lifespan (children as young as 6).

Having a more definitive diagnosis can go a long way for treatment, and sometimes an evaluation may be necessary for a third party (e.g. school district).
